Yellow Rose Of Texas 7x5 o/p |
I have heard it said that it is not what you paint but how you paint it. I don't know if that is true or not but there are many times, even though I love to paint still life that I have felt like I don't quite measure up as an artist because I love to paint still life. I do paint other subjects and if you are interested in seeing some of those, they are on my website, but I think this subject is my favorite. I hope you like these flowers..they are from my yard..It's so hot here in Texas right now, I had to pick these to save their lives! (or extend them a little?) Thank you for visiting my blog! Quote of the day:
“When you look back on a lifetime and think of what has been given to the world by your presence, your fugitive presence, inevitably you think of your art, whatever it may be, as the gift you have made to the world in acknowledgment of the gift you have been given, which is life itself. And I think the world tends to forget that this is the ultimate significance of the body of work each artist produces. That work is not an expression of the desire for praise or recognition, or prizes, but the deepest manifestation of your gratitude for the gift of life.”
