Book Giveaway!

Remember when I blogged about Heather Smith Jones'
gorgeous book 'Water Paper Paint'?
I'm a big fan of Heather's work and her book is absolutely wonderful,
I loved every single page and project.
If you like watercolors like me, I highly recommend it!
I am giving away a copy of the book & a signed archival quality print
of my watercolor piece called "Three Little Birds" featured in the gallery section!
Leave a comment on this post and I'll pick a random lucky winner next Friday morning. I'll announce the winner later that day :)
***Anyone in the whole wide world can participate, I will ship wherever you are!***

Thank you so much for the unbelievable response & your generous comments! I wish I had a thousand books to give away.

Can't Resist This!
Lynn Krawczyk has been brilliant again and has started a Thermofax Club Of The Month.
To join the club, all you have to do is head over to her etsy shop by clicking the link above and choose one of the icons reading, "2011 Thermofax Screen Of The Month Club." The club gives you exclusive access to six artist-drawn screens that will only be available to club members, delivered to you one each month for six months.
I feel honored to have been asked to create one of the designs myself and I hope that if you've ever wanted to try using these simple and stunningly effective tools, you'll begin here. There are only twelve slots available and then, as Lynn says, "When they are gone, they are gone and memberships won't re-open until the 2012 club!!!"
In other fun news, May was my month to choose the theme for The Sketchbook Challenge and I chose the theme of resists... what do you resist? What do you fail to resist? Come over and tell us- or better yet, show us by also joining along in your own sketchbooks! And don't forget to upload photos and scans of your sketches to our Flickr group to be eligible for some pretty amazing give-aways. And tune in later today to hear our own Carol Sloan give an interview for Artistically Speaking radio.
Happy creating!

Work Hard, Play Hard
Nothing I like more than spending a lazy Sunday at home
with my guys & my watercolors.
I've had so much work lately that I hadn't had time to invest on Big Bird until today.
I've noticed that if I don't spend time every day doing these type of projects
I'm less productive with my work related activities. It feeds my creative energy.
My version of work hard, play hard :)

Wunderbar!

My birdies flew all the way to Germany!
If you live there you can purchase these two books illustrated by me.
Published by Verlag am Eschbach:
Fange nie an aufzuhören, höre nie auf anzufangen & Ins Herz buchstabiert.
Both covers were made with my hand carved stamp designs.
Two more books will come out for their autumn/winter 2011 collection.
One is an anthology of poems about the joys of sending and receiving letters that will feature 20 of my bird collages with vintage postcards and ephemera & the other one
called "Soul Medicine" about all those little things in life that make us happy
by Christa Spilling-Nöker :)
