Introducing Sun FeiFei from Elite London

Sun FeiFei won 3rd place in last year's Elite Model's Look World competition and has appeared on numerous fashion magazine covers and editorials, primarily for Chinese publications.

But with her recent appearance on the runways of London and Paris at the Spring/Summer 2010 collections and representation by Elite London, we should see some international work from her soon.

في اطار الأجراءات الاحترازية التي تتخذها الحكومة قرر دكتور احمد نظيف رئيس الوزراء جعلى اجازة عيد الاضحة المبارك 10 ايام، وكل عام وكل قراء بلوج نجوم اف ام بخير وصحة وسعادة ....

وقد قرر ان تبدأ الاجازة يوم 26 نوفمبر الجاري وتنتهي السبت 5 ديسمبر ..

وفي نفس الاطار حددت الخريطة الزمنية لفترة الامتحانات نصف العام الفترة من 22 ينايرالى 4 فبراير موعدا لامتحانات الفصل الدراسى الأول بجميع صفوف النقل والصف الثالث الإبتدائى والشهادتين الإبتدائية والإعدادية على مستوى الجمهورية على أن تحدد كل مديرية تعليمية المواعيد المناسبة لها لإجراء الاختبارات لصفوف النقل والشهادات بها.

في حين تقرر ان تكون اجازة نصف العام من 6 فبراير حتى 18 من الشهر ذاته.

Introducing Xi Mengyao Ming Xi from China from the Elite Model's Look World Competition, 2009

Ming Xi Xi Mengyao (a.k.a. Barbie -- is there a WORST western name for a Chinese girl?) from China was one of the finalists at the recent Elite Model's Look World competition. She didn't win -- Julia Saner from Switzerland did -- but her show card appeared on Models.com, which is a good thing. It will be interesting to see if she makes it in the international scene.

Elite Model's Look World competition is definitely NOT in the same realm as Ford Model's Supermodel of the World in terms of generating attention and creating top models. However, I think Stefanie Seymour and Linda Evangelista started out as Elite Model's Look finalists in the early 1980s.

Anna Wang Ad Campaign for Maybelline, Fall 2009/Winter 2010

Anna Wang has been the face of Maybelline in the Asian market for a couple of years now. She has also appeared in a couple of TV commercials with other (Maybelline) girls for the brand around the world.

However, if I'm not mistaken, this is the first time Anna Wang is featured alone in a full-page print ad for Maybelline in US market.

Anonymous. 3 works by Armin Rohr

I can't get these pictures out of my head.
Especially the last one is mesmerizing. Is it peaceful? Mysterious? Haunting? Creepy? Brutal?
The mass in the first two paintings that makes up a threatening, or at least disquieting block, is here replaced by three distinct figures. The space is neither claustrophobic, as in the first one, nor agoraphobic, as could be claimed about the second (notice the ceiling moving up above the horizontal line that "closes" the picture). In the third picture, the space is abstract. It is the water we often feel is the closest to the sky. So what's the matter? Maybe it's the skyish space combined with the strokes, the juicy, dripping pinks that get feverish in the center? Maybe it's the unfaceness of these faces? The ghost should be ephemeral, translucid. Yet here, the ghosts are opaque. They are thick with body. And moving in.
