اصغر ام في العالم : بلغارية تبلغ 11 عاما تضع مولودتها وتتزوج

فاجأ البلغارية كوديزا كليازكوفا الام المخاض وذلك اثناء مراسم اتمام زواجها من جليازكو ديمتروف ويبلغ من العمر 19 عاما قتوجهت فورا الى المستشفى وهي ما زالت بفستان زفافها حيث وضعت مولدة بنت اطلقت عليها اسم فيوليتا.

وكانت كوديزا قد حملت في ابنتها بعد اتمامها الحادية عشر باسبوعين من صديقها جليازكو الذي اكد بدوره عنايته بالام الطفلة !

وقالت كوديزا :"لن أعود للعب بالدمى مرة أخرى.. فقلد أصبحت لدي دمية جديدة الآن.. أنها جميلة وأنا أحبها"، فيوليتا هي الطفلة ويتوجب عليّ النضوج الآن فلن أعود إلى مقاعد الدراسة.. لقد أصبحت أماً"

ويواجه العريس جليازكو ديمتروف عقوبة السجن لاقامة علاقة مع قاصر وحول هذا الوضع الحرج قال :"أنا خائف.. أريد رعاية زوجتي وطفلتي، ولكن عوضاً عن ذلك سأذهب السجن.. لقد اقترفت غلطة كبيرة"

Winter Cometh (And I goeth to Vegas, baby!)

The hummers are departing for their long treks across the Gulf to South America, the air is chill enough that we've had the windows open around the clock for days, and every morning more fallen leaves fill the yard.

I've spent the last ten days or so working on an abstract quilt that incorporates some of my hand-dyed fabrics as well as some of my monoprinted and discharged pieces. My free-motion quilting needs a LOT of work, but doing pieces like this is great practice and I'm pleased that I haven't once wanted to throw my Sapphire through the window. Yet.

 

It is mostly machine pieced but uses a small bit of fusing (the "bamboo shoots" on the left were painted fabric fused down). I used, of all things, the hand-dyed cuff of an old blouse to bring a horizontal element to the piece.

I have no idea how I feel about it, yet. I'm trying to keep things simple- the quilts that have the most simple elements are often the ones that draw my eye first- but I'm keeping my mind open as I stitch to what it may have to tell me. I'm about half finished with the decorative stitching and then it will be bound. It measures about 30" by 20".

My commission piece stalled for a while: I lost inspiration for the design we'd decided on because it simply wasn't working. After a discussion with my client, she and I have hit on a solution that I believe will work far better and now I can't wait to dive in again.

On Thursday, we're off to Las Vegas for a much-needed vacation. We'll be back on Monday night and will have an opportunity, while we're there, to have lunch with the very first friend I made. I met Betty Ann- who moved to Vegas about sixteen years ago- on the first day of first grade and we spent most of the next ten years together, inseparable and driving our poor mothers insane. I can't wait to see her!

ابو الغيط : الروابط التي بين مصر والجزائر اكبر من مباراة كرة قدم

اتخذ الحديث عن مباراة مصر والجزائر المنتظرة اتجاها دبلوماسيا رفيعا حيث تحدث مؤخرا وزير الخارجية المصري أحمد ابو الغيط الى نظيره الجزائري مراد مدلس في اتصال هاتفي.

وقد اكد سيادة الوزير على عمق العلاقات المصرية والجزائرية وارتباط البلدين بمصالح مشتركة اكبر واعمق كثيرا من مباراة كرة قدم، كما اكد سيادته على ان مصر ترحب بالجمهور والمنتخب الجزائري لكرة القدم.
ودعا الوزيران الصحافة في بلديهما الى تهدئة النفوس قبل مباراة مصر والجزائر يوم 14 نوفمبر الجاري التي يستضيفها استاد القاهرة.
وعلى جانب اخر يصل لمصر يوم الاحد القادم الرئيس الجزائري عبد العزيز بوتفليقة في زيارة رسمية يناقش فيها المصالح المشتركة بين البلدين.

وحول المنتخب الوطني لكرة القدم وصلت انباء من اسوان عن تالق كل من محمد ابوتريكة وعمرو زكي في التدريبات التي تقام في معسكر الفريق باسوان والتي كانت قد شهدت احتفالا كبيرا وترحيبا وتشجيع من اهالي اسوان.
وقد حدث مشادة بين المحمدي واحمد حسن اثناء التدريبات كادت ان تصل للاشتباك بالايدي لولا تدخل باقي اللاعبين بسبب التحام قوي حدث بين اللاعبين، كما اصدر الجهاز الفني توجيهاته بتجنب الخشونة في التدريبات تجنبا للاصابات قبل اللقاء الهام.

Every once in a while the question comes back lurking: are there things that are not to be shown? Or rather: not to be worked at? Do you imagine this - a woman standing in the room with a camera, waiting for the right moment so she can take a picture of her son carrying her mother? Hold her up just a bit honey... Just a little more...
And yet, this is one of the most touching pictures I have seen in quite a while.
