Compositional Conversation- Stage 10

It's been an amazing journey so far with our collaborative art piece, Compositional Conversation, and the road hasn't ended yet: there are still three more artists to put their hands to the work before Terry Jarrard-Dimond finally takes over and brings it all home for us. In the meantime, Paula Swett has contributed her amazing voice to our ever-evolving Conversation, and her report and photographs are now posted on Terry's blog for all to see and comment on.

The names below the models are designers from Hong Kong.

Does anyone know which agency Dinara Chetyrova is signed with in the US? She is no longer with Elite Models and has moved on to Ford in Europe.

استقالة وزير النقل محمد منصور من منصبة

قدم وزير القل والمواصلات السيد محمد لطفي منصور استقالته لاعفاءه من مهام منصبه كوزير الى السيد رئيس الوزراء احمد نظيف لرفعها بدوره الى السيد حسني مبارك رئيس الجمهورية الذي قام بدوره بقبولها ..
وتاتي استقالة وزير النقل بعد 3 ايام من حادث قطار العايط المؤسف الذي اودى بحياة العشرات، وقد اعلن الوزير السابقة مسؤوليته السياسية عن الحادث.

وكان الدكتور مفيد شهاب قد اعترف بمسؤولية الحكومة الجزئية عن الحادث برغم من احالة 34 من مسؤولي السكة الحديد الى التحقيق.

In A Sentimental Mood

One more thing: The bone in the film is a wishbone:

The wishbone, known in anatomy as the furcula, is a sternum bone found in birds which is shaped like the letter Y. It is used as an attachment point for the wing muscles. It is so named because of a tradition: Two people pull on each side of such a bone, and when it breaks, the one who gets the larger part is said to have a wish granted.

The mechanical sculpture in the film is by Arthur Ganson. Some of his stuff is really awe-inspiring. Check this Machine with Artichoke Petal #2



Of course, it may bring to mind other art machines (Rebecca Horn, but also manyothers), but what I really appreciate here is the simplicity. Modest art is something to be cherished. It also reminds me of some of the musical experiences by the Portuguese musician Nuno Rebelo:

رفض طلب محامي قاتل مروة الشربيني برد هيئة المحكمة

قررت الهيئة المختصة بفحص طلب هيئة الدفاع عن المتهم بقتل مروة الشربيني برفض طلب محامية بنقل مكان المحاكمة الى مكان اخر حيث شكك فى نزاهة القضاء لاحتمال التواطؤ مع هيئة القضاء التى كانت مشاركة فى حادثة مقتل مروة الشربينى بالحجرة المجاورة فى نفس المحكمة.

وقد حضر المتهم الى قاعة المحكمة مكبل اليدين والقدمين وملثما في محاولة الى اخفاء وجهة عن الاعلام، وقد استمر في اخفاء وجهة برغم مطالبة القاضي له باظهار وجهة مما ترك انطباعا سيئا لدى هيئة المحكمة.

وقد قام الجاني المعروف باليكس -29 عاما- بقتل مروة الشربيني بسكين داخل قاعة المحكمة بطعنها 18 طعنة أثناء نظر استئناف ضد حكم صادر بالغرامة في حقه بسبب تعديه بألفاظ عنصرية عليها قبل ذلك.

يذكر ان مروة الشربيني هي ابنة الاسكندرية وقد انشئ باسمها جمعية خيرية في المانيا ومن المنتظر اطلاق اسمها على احد شوارع الاسكندري، بينما عرفت واطلق عليها اسم ( شهيدة الحجاب ).
